Lip Whistle (Oral Motor and Breathing Exercises)

Meet this special whistle that turns oral motor work and breathing activities into a fun game!

Requiring the correct lip position and breath control to produce sound, this material encourages children to work towards therapeutic goals without realizing it.

Therapeutic Benefits

Oral Motor Skills: Playing this whistle requires the lips to pucker and take a rounded shape.

This action increases the strength and endurance of the lip muscles (orbicularis oris), which are important for speech and swallowing.

Breathing Control: Producing a continuous and clear sound enables the child to use their breath more controlled and sustained, making it a great breathing exercise.

Auditory Feedback: The child receives instant feedback by hearing a sound when they use the correct lip position and breath strength.
